Daito Ryu Aiki-Budo Demonstrations

One of the most significant events featuring aiki-related arts ever held, this demonstration commemorates the 50th anniversary of Sokaku Takeda Sensei’s death. Held on October 4, 1992 in the annex dojo of the Nippon Budokan, this unforgettable demonstration includes performances by some of the top practitioners of Daito-ryu Aikijujutsu, aikido, and classical Japanese martial arts.

This DVD also contains an excellent Daito-ryu demonstration by Katsuyuki Kondo Sensei taken from the Kobudo Demonstration held at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo in 1988. Kondo Sensei gives an outstanding performance that amply displays the power and precision of Daito-ryu Aikijujutsu technique. A wide array of joint-locks, body manipulations, and pinning techniques characteristic of Daito-ryu are displayed.
